Meet the A-Team!

Tom's love of Model A's began in childhood, riding around with his grandfather in the Milton, New Hampshire's many back roads and fire trails. He fondly remembers riding on the running boards and processing wood for the winter. Since then, his love has only grown with the acquisition of Thompson, Berry, and Delsie.

Thompson; 1929 Model 'AA'
The Thompson truck is a late 1929-30 Model AA, acquired in 1975 in Gonic, New Hampshire by Tom’s grandfather, John Thompson. The AA was a commercial truck of its day, and this AA model was originally used as as fire engine, but later became the Thompson family’s primary method of splitting and hauling wood in Milton, New Hampshire. The truck was then passed to Tom’s father and then brother, Randy, where it enjoyed a life of hard work on Hussey Hill in Acton, Maine. Randy gave the truck to Tom in 2018 with the intention of doing a restoration and to use on the also new blueberry farm. Unfortunately, Randy passed away before the farm was fully acquired and the truck restored. Many family and friends have helped restore Thompson to her former glory.

Berry is a blue and cream 1931 Model AA.. It was previously a farm vehicle in Maine. Berry was purchased by Tom in 2019 to play with while Thompson was being restored.

Delsie, a 1928 Model 'AA', was purchased in June 2020 from a farm in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. While Tom says Delsie is "more petite" than the other two commercial trucks. It also served on the Root Orchards Farm in Massachusetts. It's currently vacationing on lake Ivanhoe while a mini house is added to the truck bed.
